On August 26, in Ingushetia, local representative of Russian Ombudsman Magomed Khazbiev was approached by relatives of the Ingush militiamen injured by the terror act in Nazran on August 17 and sent to take their treatment to Rostov-on-Don. According to their story, the militiamen receive insufficient health care; and the conditions, in which they are treated, are "awful".

The terrorist-suicide bomber, who has blown up militiamen today in the morning in the Shali District of Chechnya, was a member of the grouping of field commander Muslim Gakaev. His name was Magomed Shakhidov, a resident of Argun, as asserted by local law enforcers.

The resident of Dagestan, who disappeared right from his workplace on August 17, was found on August 19 among the "trophies" of a special operation. Over 20 bullets were extracted from his body, which had numerous traces of violence. As reported by the HRC "Memorial", the body would not be given out to relatives, until it is proved that the man was not involved in terrorism.
