Chechen suicide bomber was convicted earlier as IAF member

Magomed Shakhidov who committed on August 25 a terror act in the Shali District of Chechnya, in 2004 was sentenced to imprisonment for taking part in illegal armed formations (IAFs).

"Magomed Shakhidov, 25, a resident of the city of Argun, who yesterday committed a terror act, in 2004, was sentenced to a small term as an IAF member," a source in the MIA of Chechnya said to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. According to his story, after release Shakhidov returned to militants and until recently was in the grouping of field commander Hussein Gakaev.

The source has also reported that the yesterday's terror killed the following employees of the division of extradepartmental security of the Argun GUVD: Magomed Abdulkadyrov, Umar Zakriev, Aindi Elmuradov and Aslambek Edilsultanov. Their colleague - Sheikh-Magomed Khakimov - was heavily wounded.

The explosion also wounded an occasional passer-by and a woman who worked at the car-wash, near which the terror act was committed.
