During the last two weeks, 13 policemen of the patrol-and-post service (PPS) of the Ingush Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) were killed and 20 more were wounded. This was reported to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Marifa Lyanova, the head of personnel of the separate regiment for the protection of the administrative boundaries of the MIA in the Republic of Ingushetia. She has noted that it is the first time when she faces such losses in the ranks of policemen during her 20-year-employment at the regiment.

In Ingushetia, four out of five persons, convicted after the incident, which occurred on September 1 in the yard of the Republic's Clinical Hospital in Ingushetia, had served their administrative penalties, and they had been released. Another convict Ali Khazbiev, a brother of Magomed Khazbiev, an Ingush oppositionist, an activist of the "PARNAS" Party, remains in custody and receives medical treatment at the Republic's Clinical Hospital.
