The information about the arrival in Sochi of Ruzanna Ibragimova, a suicide bomber, who is preparing a terror act, is not true, but the person of Ibragimova is real, said the spokesman of the Sochi regional FSB office. The city police have also stated that there are no grounds to worry about the presence of suicide bombers in Sochi.

The advocates of the dismissed Mayor of Makhachkala Said Amirov, accused of preparing a terror act, have appealed to Yuri Chaika, the General Public Prosecutor of the Russian Federation, asking him to assess the work of investigators. The billing of the telephone calls of the defendants proves that the investigators' conclusions about the preparation of a terror act were incorrect, the lawyer Vladimir Postanyuk is sure.

In early 2014, the websites supporting North-Caucasian militants published a map, where the territory of the "Imarat Kavkaz" extended from the Black Sea to the Caspian Sea and included the Krasnodar Territory. Experts believe that the map is of virtual nature only and it does not mean real extension of militants' structures beyond Northern Caucasus.

Kalsyn Akkaziev, a native of Dagestan, states that he is persecuted by law enforcers of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Yugra, where he lived before 2012. According to Akkaziev, he was put on the operative wanted list as a potential terrorist; therefore, he is afraid of provocations. The police of Yugra deny that Akkaziev had been put on the wanted list.
