Postanyuk: records of phone calls prove Said Amirov's innocence in preparing terror act

The advocates of the dismissed Mayor of Makhachkala Said Amirov, accused of preparing a terror act, have appealed to Yuri Chaika, the General Public Prosecutor of the Russian Federation, asking him to assess the work of investigators. The billing of the telephone calls of the defendants proves that the investigators' conclusions about the preparation of a terror act were incorrect, the lawyer Vladimir Postanyuk is sure.

Said Amir was detained on June 1, 2013, on suspicion of encroachment on the life of the Dagestani investigator Arsen Gadjibekov. On June 4, Amirov, along with Yusup Djaparov, the Deputy Mayor of the city of Kaspiysk, and Magomed Abdulgalimov, the former assistant of the Prosecutor of the city of Kizlyar, were charged with the customized killing of the above investigator.

According to the lawyer, the billing of the telephone conversations of the alleged participants of the plot indicates that in those days, when, according to the witness, they had meetings, Amirov was in Makhachkala, Djaparov – in Kaspiysk and Abdulgalimov – in the Rostov Region.

"We wrote a complaint to Yuri Chaika asking him just to read the case files. Then, no explanations of the lawyers will be needed – everything will be crystal clear," said Vladimir Postanyuk.
