Bodies of two policemen found in Stavropol Territory

The bodies were found in the territory of the Sovietskiy District, Stavropol Territory, said a source from the district power structures.

It happened at around 9:00 p.m. after checking a report about two suspicious cars.

At 7:35 p.m., while driving along the railroad stretch Zelenokumsk-Georgiyevsk, the operator of the shunting train noticed two cars under the bridge – a VAZ-2110 and a VAZ-2115 – and informed the dispatcher. By 9:00, when GIBDD (road police) inspectors arrived there, these cars had gone. Instead, they saw an UAZ van and the body of a district policeman nearby; the body of the second one was found a bit further, the "Interfax-Yug" reports referring to its law enforcement source.

The Chief Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has confirmed the information about the detection of the policemen's bodies in the Sovietskiy District, the RIA "Novosti" reports.

No information is available so far on the circumstances on the incident.
