In Azerbaijan, blogger Zaur Gurbanly, an activist of the civil movement "Nida" (Exclamation), was released after serving an administrative penalty in the form of 15-day detention. After his release, Zaur Gurbanly stated that, although he was subjected to moral and psychological pressure, no physical violence was used against him. The activist also said that his arrest was caused by a booklet of the civil movement "Nida".

Viktor Osipov, ex-Chairman of the Stavropol Territory Committee on Physical Culture and Sports, is suspected of attempted fraud in the financing of the "Dynamo" Basketball Club. This was reported by the Investigatory Committee of the Stavropol Territory. The criminal case, the initiation of which was reported today, became the second one, instituted against Viktor Osipov. Earlier, he was a figurant in the case of fraud in the financing of the "Dynamo" Football Club (FC).

Today, at the court session on the case of the death of contact officer Artak Nazaryan in Armenia, representatives of victims and defendants criticized the Judge's position and called it unfair. The parties have filed a motion to challenge the Judge. The Judge intends to announce the answer at the court session to be held on October 25.

Participants of the demonstration passed through the main streets of Volgograd to protest against the development of nickel deposits in the region. The protest action was coordinated with the city authorities. In the conflict between parents and teachers of the secondary school No. 12 of the village of Kara-Tyube of the Neftekumsk District of the Stavropol Territory, where girls in Muslim headscarves-hijabs were not allowed to attend classes, a compromise was found.
