After her detention at the border between Dagestan and Chechnya, advocate Elena Denisenko has appealed to the Bar Association for the KrasnodarTerritory and the Prosecutor's Office with a request to protect her right to freedom of movement. According to Elena Denisenko, her detention is connected with her protection of a person accused of organization of terrorist activities, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

Law enforcers demanded from relatives of Gashim Uzdanov, Islam Magomedov, and Pakhrudin Makhaev, who disappeared in Dagestan, to refuse holding protest actions and threatened them with administrative arrest in case of their disobedience. According to a law enforcement source, today, "four militants have been killed" in the village of Yanikoi, Chegem District of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR). The actions of blood donation were held in 15 mosques of Azerbaijan on the mourning Ashura Day; a total of 4141 Shiite Muslim took part in them. The Spiritual Administration of Muslims (SAM) of the Caucasus has treated the blood donation as more appropriate form of remembrance on the Ashura Day than traditional rituals of symbolic self-torture.

After a special operation in the Gudermes District of Chechnya, where on October 9 eight persons were killed, relatives of Gashim Uzdanov and Islam Magomedov, who had disappeared in Dagestan, went to Chechnya for identification of the bodies. However, it turned out that the bodies had not been identified yet; and relatives returned home empty-handed.
