Soldier dies of pneumonia in Azerbaijani Army

On October 31, in Rostov-on-Don, a picket was held within the action "Strategy-31". According to Vladislav Ryazantsev, one of the organizers, it was the first time, when the rally had been coordinated by the city administration at once, without litigation; however, during the rally, street lighting lanterns were switched off.

Miner perished in Rostov Region
Today, a mine worker perished as a result of a rock collapse in the underground mine "Rostovskaya", located in the town of Gukovo of Rostov Region. This was reported by the representative of the press service of the Southern Regional Centre of the Russian Ministry for Emergencies (MfE).

"Dosh": residents of Dagestan believe that locals join militants because of power agents' lawless behaviour
Many residents of Dagestan believe that their countrymen "go to the forest" and join the militants because of the power agents' arbitrariness. This is evidenced by the results of the questioning conducted by the magazine "Dosh" in September-October 2011. Local experts agree with the questioning data and note that "reprisals" of power agents encourage belief in correctness of the violent resistance method in minds of supporters of "the forest".

Inspectors charge the soldier who claimed his slavery in Dagestan of desertion
The Military Investigatory Division for the Saratov Garrison has indicted soldier Andrei Popov of desertion, Earlier Popov alleged that for 11 years he had been held in slavery at brick factories in Dagestan. This was reported by Evgeniy Bubnov, the deputy head of the above Investigatory Division.
