At night on July 7, mourning actions are planned in the city of Krymsk, Krasnodar Territory, right one year after the devastating flood that officially claimed 153 human lives. The district administration has not allowed holding a night march in memory of the victims; however, civil activists are going to hold other memorial actions.

Armenia plans to harmonise its prison system to European Prison Rules and other recommendations of the Council of Europe, in particular, the probation regime, the Convention for the Prevention of Torture and the case law of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR). The Maikop City Court reinstated Mukharbiy Tkharkakhov, Chairman of the movement "For Future of Adygea", who was dismissed on May 29, as a teacher of the Adyg State University (ASU). Relatives of Rizvan Yakubov, who was detained this morning in Khasavyurt, blocked the federal highway between Khasavyurt and Makhachkala to protest against the actions of law enforcers. The relatives of Rizvan Yakubov demanded to explain why the young man was detained and to allow his advocate to visit him. Policemen dispersed the protesters, and several persons were detained.

Health state of persons who went on hunger strike at the temporary accommodation centre (TAC) "Promzhilbaza" in Karabulak deteriorates. The European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) upheld the complaint about inhumane treatment filed by Shakir Rzakhanov, who is serving his life sentence in Azerbaijan. The ECtHR pronounced that Shakir Rzakhanov is to receive the amount of 7500 euros as compensation for moral damages and the other amount of 2000 euros is to be paid to the applicant as compensation for legal costs.

The European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) has ruled on the application about disappearance in 2000 of Beslan Baisultanov, a resident of Chechnya, and ordered Russia to pay 64,000 euros to three of his female relatives. This is stated in the today's decision of the Court after consideration of the case "Baisultanova et al versus Russia".
