International Migrants Day marked against violations of migrants' rights in Southern Russia

Law enforcers report on four policemen killed in Grozny

Four policemen were killed by suspects involved in an attack on policemen in Grozny. The police launched the interception plan in the city. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by a source from the law enforcement authorities. According to law enforcers, they managed to cordon off a group of militants in the Staropromyslovsky District.

Attack in Grozny becomes fourth militant attack committed on New Year's Eve

The shootout of December 17 at the centre of Grozny has become at least the fourth since early 2016 and the seventh since early 2015 armed clash between law enforcers and militants in Chechnya. As a result of those seven incidents, 22 people, declared militants, were killed and two others were injured, and 21 law enforcers were wounded. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot". For the fourth year in a row, in December, in southern regions of Russia, militants declare themselves loud attacks and terror acts.

Rustam Aptaev detained in Ali-Yurt subjected to torture, his defenders assert

Rustam Aptaev, a 36-year-old resident of Grozny, detained on December 13 by believers of a mosque in the village of Ali-Yurt in Ingushetia for the attempted murder of Isa Tsechoev, a well-known Islamic preacher, and brought to a police station, is being subjected to torture, since law enforcers force him to incriminate himself. Ramzan Kadyrov reports on four people killed in shootout in Grozny

Authorities of Dagestan plan to reorganize remaining orphanages
