Kadyrov confirms presence of Chechen militaries in Syria
Chechen natives are serving in the battalion of military police of the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) in the Syrian city of Aleppo, said the head of the republic Ramzan Kadyrov. According to his story, Adam Delimkhanov met the Chechens in Syria; as reported by the "Novaya Gazeta", Delimkhanov formed the unit in Chechnya to be sent to Syria.

Rights defenders of Armenia report 51 non-combat military casualties in 2016
In 2016, the Armed Forces of Armenia and the Defence Army of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) lost 162 soldiers, 51 of them – in non-combat conditions, reports the study of the Vanadzor office of the Helsinki Civil Initiative.
