New acting Dagestani head undertakes to restore Izberbash Radio Plant

The debt of the Izberbash Radio Plant named after Pleshakov amounts to about 60 million roubles, and wage arrears comprised the greatest part of the debt, announced Vladimir Vasiliev, the acting leader of Dagestan.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in late September 2016, workers of the Izberbash Radio Factory went on a strike. They demanded to repay the debts on wages. In October 2017, the Izberbash Radio Plant introduced bankruptcy proceedings.

The authorities of Dagestan have launched the measures to withdraw the plant from the bankruptcy procedure, and it is planned to organize a new modern production facility on the premises of the plant, the acting leader of Dagestan reported on March 15.

"The plant was in deep bankruptcy, and now we withdraw it from its crisis. The plant has got about 60 million (roubles) of debt, most of all is wage arrears. Now we are looking for a solution, there is a territory that can be sold. In addition, we make all efforts to ensure our enterprise starts working in the territory, with these people, to launch modern production," reported Vladimir Vasiliev as quoted by the TASS.
