Ibragim Dudarov becomes tenth religious figure killed in Northern Caucasus in 2012

North Ossetia held a ceremony of farewell to Ibragim Dudarov, Deputy Mufti of the Republic, the imam of the mosque of Vladikavkaz, who was killed on December 26. According to the calculations of the "Caucasian Knot", during 2012, in Northern Caucasus, at least ten religious leaders were killed eight in Dagestan, one in the Stavropol Territory, and one in North Ossetia.

In 2012, Dagestan became the leader among all regions of the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD) on the number of murders of religious figures. In Dagestan, since the beginning of the year, five imams, a madrassa teacher, a Sufi sheikh and a well-known Islamic scholar were killed.

Ibragim Dudarov was the Deputy Mufti of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania since 2007, he supervised the issue of education at the Spiritual Administration, and at the same time, he was the imam of the mosque of Vladikavkaz and was a member of the Public Council under the Ministry of the Internal Affairs (MFA) of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania.

Today, the murder of 34-year-old Ibragim Dudarov was reported. His body with multiple gunshot wounds was found in the car on the road from Vladikavkaz to the village of Chmi.

According to the Muslim traditions, the body of the religious leader was buried prior to sunset, just after the body of the deceased man was given out to his relatives after the examinations conducted. Hundreds of people came to express their condolences to the family of the murdered religious leader, the NTV reports.
