In 2001, Ayub Dovletukaev, a resident of the village of Dzhalka of Gudermes District of the Chechen Republic, who was kidnapped and murdered in Chechnya, was sentenced on charges of involvement on the militants' side in the armed clash, which took place in the hospital of Gudermes, and he was serving his term in a psychiatric hospital. In 2005, unidentified armed men kidnapped Rustam Dovletukaev, his brother.

Today, the Moscow Regional Court has held a session on the criminal case against two natives of Chechnya - Apti and Aishat Magmadov, accused of promoting terrorism and setting up illegal armed formations (IAFs). At the request of the prosecutor, their custody was extended till December 22, 2011.

Investigators of Chechnya initiated a criminal case on the fact of kidnapping and murder of a man, a source in law enforcement bodies of the republic reported today. The resident of Gudermes district of Chechnya was kidnapped by armed people from his own house and killed on the same day. In the opinion of leader of one of the local human rights organizations, only the personnel of enforcement agencies might have been involved in the crime.

The office of the Union of Entrepreneurs of Chechnya, located in a house, near which a triple explosion was triggered at night on August 30, was almost completely destroyed by power agents. According to local law enforcers, the agents acted "under the actual situation" and "subject to possible threats."
