Attack on militaries on January 9 in Grozny was preceded by check of their IDs by local power agents
New details appear in the case dealing with the attack on servicemen of the special regiment of the Russian Ministry of Defence, headed by Lieutenant Colonel Bislan Elimkhanov, committed in Grozny on January 9. Shortly before the attack on Elimkhanov, the convoy was stopped for inspection by the local power agents. Supposedly, at least two of the "inspectors" later suffered in the shooting that burst out later at the checkpoint of the military base in Khankala.

The Ukrainian authorities have satisfied Russia's request to extradite Vyacheslav Ryabtsev, one of the suspects of the murder of 12 persons committed in the village of Kuschevskaya, Krasnodar Territory, in November 2010. As reported by the official website of the Russian General Prosecutor's Office, now the date of Ryabtsev's extradition to Russia is agreed on.

Investigatory bodies have established involvement of seven persons, including Alexander Tikhomirov (Said Buryatskiy), in blowing up the "Neva-Express" Train in November 2009. All of them were killed in March 2010 in the Ingush village of Ekazhevo. This was reported by Vladimir Markin, spokesman of the Russia's Investigatory Committee (IC).
