Resident of Ingushetia detained in Slovakia as suspected terrorist

Aslan Yandiev, a resident of Ingushetia, who is suspected of terrorist crimes committed in 2005-2006 in the territory of North Ossetia, was detained in Slovakia, arrested. The date of detention was not specified.

As reported by the spokesman of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of North Ossetia, Yandiev was on the international wanted list since April 2007 at the request of the North-Ossetian MIA. He is charged under the articles of "banditry", "illegal possession of weapons", "terrorist act" and "murder".

According to the spokesman, being a member of an armed grouping, Yandiev committed crimes in the territory of North Ossetia from December 2005 to July 2006. In particular, according to law enforcers, in December 2005 the members of this grouping shelled the electrical substation "Vladikavkaz-2", located in the outskirts of the settlement named Zavodskoy.

In February 2006, according to the MIA, the same criminals committed  explosions in slot machines halls in Vladikavkaz. Then, three persons were killed and more than 20 injured. Besides, the criminal group triggered an explosion in central Vladikavkaz in Pushkin Square in July 2007 and planned a terror act in the central square of Vladikavkaz, which failed because the bomb was neutralized, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
