In Moscow and the Moscow Region, law enforcers detained two natives of Dagestan, suspected of transferring money to terrorists. Searches at homes of Dagestani natives are being carried out in seven regions, including Dagestan, the Stavropol Territory, and the Astrakhan Region, the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) reports.

The whereabouts of Ali Aliomarov, a resident of Dagestan, remains unknown after Moscow law enforcers had searched an apartment rented by him. This has been reported today by relatives of the disappeared man.

The defence of Abdulmumin Gadjiev, Kemal Tambiev and Abubakar Rizvanov, who were arrested for two months within the case of financing terrorism, intends to appeal against their arrest. Gadjiev has called the evidence of the guilt "invented"; Tambiev stated an attempt to hide the fact of his beating; and Rizvanov complained of moral pressure.

The policemen, who had accused the lawyer Mikhail Benyash of beating them, had no noticeable injuries after the conflict with him, Sergei Sakhno, the head of the Krasnodar criminal search division, has stated to the court. The prosecution witness gave testimonies useful for the defence, Mr Benyash believes.

Today, the North-Caucasian District Military Court has announced a guilty verdict against residents of Crimea who were accused of involvement in the organization Hizb ut-Tahrir, recognized as terrorist and banned in Russia by the court. The defendants, who pleaded not guilty, were sentenced to 12-17 years of imprisonment.

An advocate and family members of a person sentenced for giving false testimony in the case on the murder of two schoolchildren in Tbilisi appealed to the General Prosecutor's Office of Georgia. They request to bring to criminal responsibility investigators and prosecutors who considered the resonant case. In case if their appeal is ignored, the defence threatens to organize protest actions.

Chechen blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov has suggested residents of Dagestan to switch their attention over from road signs near Kizlyar to the detention of Abdulmumin Gadjiev, an editor with the "Chernovik" (Draft) weekly. A public resonance outcry will contribute to a fair resolution of Gadjiev's case, the blogger has explained.
