Representatives of the Lezghian autonomy are concerned about the news of one more transfer of Dagestani lands to Azerbaijan
Russia will transfer two big pastures in the territory of Dagestan to Azerbaijan. This was recently discussed at a session of joint Russian-Azerbaijani committee for demarcation of state border in Moscow, Chairman of Executive Committee of Federal Lezghian national and cultural autonomy (FLNCA) Amil Sarkarov reported.

A decision on the statement of beating up a builder in Sochi by the policemen will be taken within a month, a representative of Committee of Inquiry of Russia reported

Deadline for Azerbaijani authorities to answer ECtHR's request on Mamedov's case is over
Tuesday was the deadline appointed by the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) for the government of Azerbaijan to answer the request of the Court on the case of Ilgar Mamedov, the leader of the civil movement "Republican Alternative" (ReAl). Underground hidings with the weapons intended to conduct large-scale warfare, a video archive of torture and lists of people, planned for detention on trumped-up charges, were found in Georgia, Nino Giorgobiani, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), has reported today. Azerbaijani journalist not allowed to leave his country to participate in the Gerd Bucerius Award ceremony
Member of Azerbaijani Institute of Freedom and Safety of Reporters (IFSR) Mehman Guseinov was detained on June 17, in the airport of Baku. The reporter was not let to fly from the country to Norway for participation in the ceremony of awarding him with prestigious international Gerd Bucerius award “Free Press of Eastern Europe-2013”. This decision was motivated by a criminal case initiated against Guseinov. The journalist himself considers the ban of leaving country groundless.
