IS attracts young Muslims by promise of social justice

Iraqi Yazidis urge Armenian authorities to grant refugee status to them
Three families of Yazidis have moved to Armenia from the Iraqi province of Shingal. They were forced to leave their village in order to escape from radical militants of the "Islamic State" (IS) (recognized as a terrorist organization). The Migration Service of Armenia is considering their petitions for refugee status.

Sochi activists criticize auction of Olympic Houses
From August 11 to September 7, the Department of Property Relations of the Administration of Sochi is accepting applications for the auction of selling 'Olympic' residential houses with land plots. Volgograd: untreated sewage pollutes city ponds and rivers
The Volgograd inter-district environmental prosecutor's office has sent a statement of claim to the court, which obliges the Volgograd Mayoralty to organize collection and disposal of liquid domestic wastes. The office has documented numerous facts of unauthorized discharge of faecal-household sewage into the city drainage system.

Dagestani power specialists extend supply restrictions until September 23
The restrictions on electricity supplies to consumers in the mountainous regions of Dagestan will be in force until September 23, said the spokesman of the "Dagestani Grid Company". Earlier, they planned that restrictions would last until September 21, 2015.
