After the Derbent shelling, one victim is still in hospital
Two persons, seriously wounded by gunfire in the area of the Naryn-Kala Fortress, have been discharged from hospital. Another one is recovering after a surgery, but there are no fears for his life, the spokesman of the Ministry of Public Health has reported today.

Rights defender Sakunts states the need of solitary cell for Yke Kyuregyan
The convicted activist Yke Kyuregyan continues his hunger strike as he feels bad in a cell with other inmates because of their constant smoking, said Arthur Sakunts, the chairman of the Vanadzor office of the Helsinki Civil Assembly, who is representing the interests of the activist.

Experts: Kadyrov has no rivals for the post of head of Chechnya
The head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov will be approved for his third term in office, the experts interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" believe. According to their version, it will happen regardless of whether he will be elected directly by citizens of Chechnya, or by local MPs.

Governor orders to dismantle high-rise building in Volgograd
The apartment building in Kosmonavtov Street in Volgograd, damaged by an explosion will be removed by disassembling the structure; the respective order was signed today by the Governor of the region. The version of a directed explosion was rejected by experts because of the densely built-up surrounding area.

Law enforcers detain man suspected of involvement in explosion in Moscow
At the Moscow "Domodedovo" Airport, law enforcers have detained a man, suspected of disorderly conduct with the use of an explosive device, which injured five persons. This was reported by a source from the law enforcement bodies.

Mass Epiphany bathing takes place in SFD and NCFD
In the regions of southern Russia, rituals of Epiphany bathing in the numerous font basins were held without incidents. On the bank of a number of water reservoirs, field kitchens and heating points were equipped for believers. Their security was controlled by law enforcers, rescue teams of the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE), and doctors.

"Kommersant": court appoints psychiatric examination for Stanislav Klykh
Court hearings in the criminal case against Nikolai Karpyuk and Stanislav Klykh, citizens of Ukraine, accused of involvement in the combat actions in the territory of Chechnya, have been postponed for an indefinite period of time. HRC to send Ramzan Kadyrov's statements on "people's enemies" for examination
Evgeny Bobrov, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Council on Human Rights (HRC), has noted that he had instructed his colleagues from the HRC to collect all the public statements made by Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov and his subordinates (including Magomed Daudov, Speaker of the Chechen Parliament) against the opposition.

Reznik turns to GPO on Kadyrov's statements
An appeal of the Petersburg Deputy Maxim Reznik with a request to check Ramzan Kadyrov's statements about the non-systemic opposition for extremism has been sent to the Russian General Prosecutor's Office (GPO) and made public.
