In Makhachkala, at the basis of the lawsuit filed by the "Roskomnadzor" (Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of Telecom, Information Technologies and Mass Communications), the court has fined the "Chernovik" (Draft) for the use of the names of terrorist organizations "Imarat Kavkaz" and "Islamic State" (IS) without specifying that the both organizations are prohibited in Russia.

In the period from October to late December 2015, at least 24 people were kidnapped in Chechnya by law enforcers. This was reported by the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial". According to the human rights defenders, one of the kidnapped persons was found dead, and the fate of six other kidnapped persons remains unknown.
