Almost 66,000 residents of Dagestan took part in the questioning about their attitudes toward candidates to the State Duma. Oleg Melnikov, the leader of the movement against slavery "Alternative", gained 42.23% of votes. Among the political parties, residents of the republic have preferred the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF).

Defence files complaint against court's decision to leave Khamid Razhapov and Tsetiev brothers in custody
In Moscow, the court has pronounced the decision to extend by four months the detention in custody of Khamid Razhapov and Khusein Tsetiev, accused of an attack on staff members of the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE). Said-Magomed Tsetiev is left under house arrest for the same period.

Georgian authorities accuse "UNM" Party of desire to destabilize situation in country
On September 14, Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia, reported that the Georgian authorities became aware of the intention of the opposition "United National Movement" (UNM) Party to organize riots in the country. "Civil Rights Defenders" demands to guarantee protection of Zhalaudi Geriev's rights in Chechnya
Zhalaudi Geriev, a correspondent of the "Caucasian Knot", has been prosecuted in Chechnya for his professional activities, and the criminal case against him was fabricated. This is announced in a statement released by the international human rights organization "Civil Rights Defenders" based in Sweden.
