MIA explains decision to evict spouse of Sochi Rabbi by "family reunification"
After her husband, Hannah Edelkopf, the spouse of Sochi Rabbi Aryeh Edelkopf, was also deprived the right for residence in Russia. At trial, an official from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) called her eviction a "family reunification."

Zelimkhan Bakharchiev's father evicted from Chechnya buried in Ingushetia
Aslanbek Bakharchiev, the seriously ill father of suspected militant Zelimkhan Bakharchiev, expelled from a Chechen village, died in Kalmykia and was buried in Ingushetia. This was reported by residents of the republic. According to them, the authorities did not allow family members of Aslanbek Bakharchiev to bury him in Chechnya.

Geriev’s defence states protraction of examining his application on kidnapping
The recheck of the application of Zhalaudi Geriev, a "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, about his kidnapping and use of violence last for a month already instead of 10 days prescribed by the law, said the advocate Alaudi Musaev. Two cassation appeals against the verdict have been also filed by two other advocates involved in the trial.

Participants of rally in KChR urge authorities to avoid bankruptcy of breeding farm
The authorities should help to stop the bankruptcy procedure of Osman Kasaev Breeding Farm, which employs residents of three remote auls (villages) of the Karachay District, and deal with the non-transparent schemes of allocation of the land plots of the farm. Staff of scientific centre accuses Makhachkala authorities of arbitrariness

118 observers registered for NKR’s referendum
The number of citizens of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), included in the voter lists for the referendum on the new Constitution draft, has exceeded 102,000, but it is not final, said the Central Election Commission (CEC). AI calls on to revise verdict on "Nardaran case"

Defence of detained natives of Dagestan asserts that ammunition was planted on them
The Tagibekov brothers, natives of Dagestan, were detained on suspicion of illicit dealing with ammunition, after a search of their rented apartment in a Moscow suburb.
