Classmates of young men killed in Grozny report pressure from law enforcers

Law enforcers questioned students and teachers of the Grozny Medical College, where the young people killed in an attack on the Saint Michael the Archangel Church studied. The questioning was accompanied by threats, the students reported.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 19, in a militant attempt to capture believers in the Saint Michael the Archangel Church in Grozny, seven people were killed and other two were wounded. According to the law enforcement bodies, the attack was committed by natives of Chechnya: 18-year-old brothers Amir and Ali Yunusov, 19-year-old Mikail Elisultanov, and Akhmed Tsechoev, an 18-year-old resident of Ingushetia who led the attack.

All four of the killed young people were students of the Grozny Medical College. Several days after the attack on the church, law enforcers questioned the classmates of the killed young people, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed by college staff and students.

"People from the FSB visited us. They questioned the fellow students of the killed young men. Then they called the police," one of the employees told the Caucasian Knot correspondent.

A medical college student confirmed that law enforcers twice questioned him and his classmates and asked about the Yunusov brothers and Akhmed Tsechoev. According to the student, the second questioning was accompanied by "threats and insults."

"All classmates were questioned, including boys and girls. The law enforcers wrote down their mobile phone numbers and personal data. Students say that they were yelling at the head of the group, reproached her for failure to notice that they were 'shaitans,' and asked why she didn't reported to the police," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Amina, a student of the medical college.
