ECtHR obliges Russia to pay compensation to family members of killed protester in Dagestan
The European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) has demanded from the Russian authorities to pay 50,000 euros in compensation for moral damage to family members of Murad Nagmetov, who was killed in 2006 during the dispersal of the anti-corruption action in the Dokuzparinsky District of Dagestan.

South of Dagestan cleaned from militants and their accomplices - Republic's Minister of Internal Affairs
In 2016, law enforcers carried out more than 30 special operations in Dagestan, during which 17 militant leaders were killed. This was reported by Abdurashid Magomedov, Dagestani Minister of Internal Affairs. According to him, all the southern regions of the republic are "cleaned of militants."
