Four tourists, who on July 5 got stuck in the Gili-Su Gorge in the Karachay District because of bad weather, were taken to the village of Khurzuk.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the evening on July 5, the tourists asked for help from rescuers, since they were not able to go down independently because of weather conditions. Rescuers went to them on the same day. However, it was impossible to get the tourists down and it became dark, the evacuation activities were suspended and resumed in the morning on July 6. The rescuers started to the tourists by foot.
