Russian President Vladimir Putin has decided to support Raul Khajimba in the context of the latest events in Abkhazia and to prevent the appearance of a "black hole" near Sochi, political analysts told the "Caucasian Knot". Until 2019, Mr Putin promised to invest 6 billion roubles in Abkhazia.

In Azerbaijan, the 23-year-old Nail Allakhverdiev, a participant of the road accident, which resulted in the death of two persons, has been arrested. He is a grandson of Ali Gasanov, the country’s Vice-Premier. According to a source from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), the accident was caused by street races on expensive foreign-made cars.
