Initiative with Chechen battalions raises Kadyrov's status in military system

The new battalions, the formation of which was announced by the head of Chechnya, will become part of the "Rosgvardiya" (Russian National Guard), experts assert. In their opinion, it was Kadyrov's initiative; and it strengthens the position of his followers in the country's military-defence hierarchy amid the special operation in Ukraine.

FSB reports about detention of a terrorist accomplice

Nalchik resident gets a suspended sentence for discrediting Russian Armed Forces

In Nalchik, a court sentenced Zaurbek Zhambekov to a two-year suspended sentence for discrediting the Russian Armed Forces and involving a child in a crime. Zaurbek Zhambekov was accused of forcing his daughter to tear away the letter Z from a car. The defendant pointed out that the sign Z is not an official state symbol.

The peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as other documents signed at the meeting with Trump on August 8, 2025

The “Caucasian Knot" publishes the agreement on the establishment of peace and interstate relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, which was initialed by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on August 8, 2025, through the mediation of US President Donald Trump. The meeting of Trump, Aliyev and Pashinyan took place on August 8 in Washington. Following the meeting, Pashinyan and Aliyev also signed a joint declaration.
