"EcoWatch": Evgeny Vitishko placed into colony-settlement No. 2 in Tambov Region
On February 24, Evgeny Vitishko, an activist of the "Ecological Watch for Northern Caucasus" (EcoWatch), was convoyed from SIZO (pre-trial prison) No. 1 of Krasnodar to serve his term in the Tambov Region; and he is now in colony-settlement No. 2 of the Department for the Tambov Region.

Residents of Aragatsot District of Armenia block highway demanding to stop building water line
In Armenia residents of the villages of Ushi, Oganavan, Artashavan, Karbi, Sagmosavan, Erznka and Egvard, located in the Aragatsot Region, blocked the highway Ashtarak-Aparan. They demand to stop the construction of a new hydropower plant (HPP) on the water line Aparan-Yerevan.

Alisoy, PFPA activist, sentenced to administrative arrest in Azerbaijan
In Azerbaijan, Tyurkel Alisoy, a member of the Board of the Youth Committee of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA), was subjected to administrative detention for 20 days. This decision was made today by the Nasimi District Court of Baku, which found Alisoy guilty of disobeying lawful demands of policemen.

Sochi Relay unites Paralympic Flames from all regions of Russia
Sochi has launched the final stage of the Paralympic Winter Games Torch Relay. On March 5, the Central Square of the Ski Centre "Roza Khutor" in Krasnaya Polyana was the venue of the symbolic unification of the Paralympic Flame, which had visited – within 10 days – 46 cities in eight federal districts of Russia.
