In Derbent, the law enforcement bodies did not respond to a protest of a mother of Islam Barzukaev, who was suspected of possessing weapons, noted Elena Barzukaeva on the fourth day of her hunger strike. According to her, law enforcers warned people not to approach the picketer.

The condition of five patients who still stay in hospitals after a dispersal of protesters in Tbilisi is considered by doctors to be satisfactory. Three of patients receive medical treatment in Georgia, the fourth is sent to Israel, and another one is being prepared for his transportation to Germany, the Georgian Ministry for Public Health reports.

The mother of Islam Barzukaev, a suspect of keeping weapons, has continued her protest action in Derbent, demanding an independent examination of her son for torture. The mother of Gasan Kurbanov, who was detained within the same case, decided to join the hunger strike on June 29.
