A soldier from the Astrakhan region was killed in Ukraine.

Roman Alshanov was killed in combat. Since the beginning of the Russian operation in Ukraine, at least 748 combatants from the Astrakhan region have been officially recognized as killed.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," by June 20, at least 747 fighters from the Astrakhan region were officially recognized as killed in the military operation. At that time, the Krasnoyarsk district administration reported that Zhardem Sharapiev was killed in the SVO zone.

The Kamyzyak district administration reported on its VKontakte page the presentation of the Order of Courage to the family of Roman Alshanov, who was killed in the military operation.

Roman Alshanov was born on July 6, 1987, in the village of Maly Aral in the Krasnoyarsk district. He graduated from the Baibek School, then a vocational school in Astrakhan, where he trained as an electrician. After completing his studies, Alshanov served in the army. In June 2023, he signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense and was sent to a special military operation zone. He was killed on June 15, 2025, according to the publication.

Thus, at least 748 soldiers from the Astrakhan Region have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation.
