President of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov has expressed his readiness to render every assistance in solving the problems, which President of Russia put before Alexander Khloponin, who was appointed yesterday, on January 19, to the post of plenipotentiary in the newly-created North-Caucasian Federal District, and even promised to give some housing to him. The MIA of Chechnya has disseminated the information that on January 16, in the high-mountainous Vedeno District, as a result of a special operation, a man of 32 was detained, who on the eve returned from Austria, where until recently he lived as a refugee. The detainee is accused of taking part in separatists' armed formations in 2001. Local human rights activists assert that the actions of power agents are illegal.

Today, 24 citizens of Georgia were deported from Poland to Georgia by a special Warsaw-Tbilisi charter flight. Among them, there are also participants of the December incident with the train in Poland, when a group of citizens of the Russian Federation and Georgia, who claimed for refugee status, illegally occupied seats in a train and demanded to bring them to Strasbourg.

The Prosecutor's Office of Moscow has cancelled the decision to refuse to initiate on demand of the President of Chechnya a criminal case against journalists of "Novaya Gazeta", who stated in their articles Ramzan Kadyrov's violations of human rights. Earlier, the Inquiry Department refused the initiate a case against "Novaya Gazeta".
