On May 30, armed men broke into the office of the Human Rights Centre of the Chechen Republic in Grozny and started threatening the employees of this organization. This was reported by the HRC "Memorial", which added that the attackers were not identified, and the reasons of the attack are unknown.

The investigation into the death of journalist Yuri Schekochikhin, who shortly before his death, namely in 2002-2003, was a member of the public commission of inquiry into the explosions of houses in Moscow and Volgodonsk in 1999, was resumed five times, and then stopped. This was stated by Dmitry Muratov, editor-in-chief of the "Novaya Gazeta". According to his story, the newspaper continues its independent inquiry into the death of Schekochikhin.

The court in Denmark sentenced native of Chechnya Lors Dukaev to 12 years of custody and deportation
The court in Denmark sentenced a twenty-five-year-old Russian citizen, native of Chechnya, Lors Dukaev to 12 years of custody for blasting a bomb in one of the hotels of Copenhagen. The City court of Copenhagen passed a judgment according to which Dukaev had to serve his custody term in Denmark and then be deported to Russia.
