Body of kidnapped resident of Dagestan found in Chechnya

 

Shamil Omarov, a villager of Sultanyangiyurt, Kizilyurt District of Dagestan, who was kidnapped by unidentified persons on May 28, was found dead in the city of Gudermes in the Chechen Republic.

According to Omarov's relatives, in the evening yesterday, on June 6, an investigator from Gudermes telephoned to the Kizilyurt ROVD (District Interior Division) and said that relatives should come to Gudermes to identify the body. Omarov's father went to Gudermes and identified his son, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

The press service of the Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) said that they had no information about identification of Omarov's body.
