Today in Moscow the press conference "The first results of an independent investigation into the murder of Natalia Estemirova" was held, during which a report with the results of the investigation holding by the "Novaya Gazeta" (New Newspaper), the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) and the Human Rights Centre "Memorial" . The report's authors the appeal to Russian President Dmitry Medvedev to take personal control over the due process of law in the investigation into the Natalia's Estemirova murder.

The evening of memory of the human rights activist Natalia Estemirova, marking the second anniversary of her murder, will be held on July 14 in St Petersburg. The film "Who killed Natasha?", shot by journalist Mylene Sauloy by the French TV's order, will be screened on the memory evening for the first time in Russia.

Maksudjon Ismatov, a citizen of Tajikistan, and the Iranian Makhdi Lorniya, who had been convicted in the case on the murder of the Hero of Russia Sulim Yamadaev, were released from the prison of Dubai and deported beyond the UAE, reported Saidmukhammod Salikhov, the Vice-Consul of Tajikistan in Dubai.

The judicial precinct No. 363 of the Khamovniki District Court of Moscow has received an appeal complaint from Andrei Krasnenkov, the legal representative of Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov, against the court's decision to acquit Oleg Orlov, Chairman of the Board of the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial". An appeal presentation was received also from the prosecutor's office.

Cases of burning down the houses belonging to relatives of those who join armed underground have recommenced in Chechnya. Residents of Shali district of Chechnya state that among these people there are fellow villagers of Head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov. Power ministries do not confirm this information.

Statistics on explosions and terror acts in the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD) of the Russian Federation for the first half of 2011 in comparison with that for the same period of 2010 gives grounds for cautious optimism: in general for the District, the number of explosions fell from 138 to 93, the number of perished in the result of these incidents decreased almost two times, from 81 to 42 persons, and the number of wounded decreased more than three times, from 297 to 94 persons.
