Since the beginning of 2012 the personnel of power-wielding structures killed 35 participants of armed underground in the territory of Chechnya and detained over 80, republican Ministry of Interior Affairs reports.

The investigation into the case against five defendants, accused of the murder of Anna Politkovskaya, an observer of the newspaper "Novaya Gazeta", has been completed, and sufficient evidences to compile the indictment against them have been collected.
