Court hearings in the criminal case against Nikolai Karpyuk and Stanislav Klykh, citizens of Ukraine, accused of involvement in the combat actions in the territory of Chechnya, have been postponed for an indefinite period of time. At the request of his advocate, Stanislav Klykh is to undergo a forensic psychiatric examination.

Evgeny Bobrov, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Council on Human Rights (HRC), has noted that he had instructed his colleagues from the HRC to collect all the public statements made by Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov and his subordinates (including Magomed Daudov, Speaker of the Chechen Parliament) against the opposition.

An appeal of the Petersburg Deputy Maxim Reznik with a request to check Ramzan Kadyrov's statements about the non-systemic opposition for extremism has been sent to the Russian General Prosecutor's Office (GPO) and made public. Reznik has also proposed to restrict the access to the website of the Chechen administration.

Said-Emin Gazaliev, a resident of the Shali District of Chechnya, has confessed to arsoning the ziyart (mausoleum) of Durdi-Sheikh. After his confession, he together with his relatives was subjected to public condemnation by local residents.

Konstantin Senchenko, an MP from Krasnoyarsk, has apologized to Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov for harsh criticism. The MP has admitted that he has changed his opinion after the "men's talk" with a "well-known person". It is still unknown whether Konstantin Senchenko was subjected to pressure.

Chechnya has instituted a criminal case against minor Said-Magomed Dokhtukaev, suspected of an attempt to go to Syria to take part in the combat actions. He is also charged with public calls to terrorist activity.

The statement made by Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov concerning the non-systemic opposition was thoughtless and harmful for the Russian authorities. This opinion was expressed by human rights defenders. They believe such statements are dangerous and that they do not contribute to the stability in society.

In the period from October to late December 2015, at least 24 people were kidnapped in Chechnya by law enforcers. This was reported by the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial". According to the human rights defenders, one of the kidnapped persons was found dead, and the fate of six other kidnapped persons remains unknown.
