It is now quiet in the village of Kartsa, located in immediate proximity from Vladikavkaz and mainly inhabited by Ingushes. Residents note good-neighbourhood relations between Ingushes and Ossetians living here, while employees of law enforcement bodies present in the village inspire trust. In the meantime, rallies continue in Vladikavkaz; where one of them had nearly resulted in a pogrom in Kartsa village.

Andrei Krasnenkov, who is representing President of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov at litigation on slander against Oleg Orlov, head of the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial", accused Genry Reznik, the latter's advocate of non-professionalism. Otherwise, in Mr Krasnenkov's opinion, Mr Reznik would not have petitioned his challenge. In his turn, Genry Reznik does not believe that Krasnenkov is a professional lawyer and treats his statements as "manifestations of militant ignorance."

On September 14, Karina Kelasova, wife of Revaz Kelasov, 31, who was kidnapped on August 18 in Makhachkala, said that on September 12 she was summoned to the prosecutor's office of the city of Kaspiisk, where she was shown photos of a blown-up car with two scorched bodies inside. In one of them Karina recognized her husband.

On September, 14, European Court of Human Rights acknowledged the state of Turkey guilty of the murder of Hrant Dink, a journalist of Armenian origin, editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Akos". In this way the claim submitted against the Turkish authorities was secured.

Relatives of the men murdered during a special operation on August, 28 in Shogentsukov street in Nalchik and on July 25 in the settlement of Dugulubgay, Balsan district of the republic, have appealed to Kabardino-Balkarian Human Rights Center and the Ombudsman of Kabardino-Balkaria with a request to help them get their sons' corpses for burial.

Ramazan Abdurakhmanov, 27, a resident of Aksai village, Khasavyurt District of Dagestan, has disappeared. The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent learnt about it from his father Isa, who stated that nothing had been heard about Ramazan for two weeks.

One of the women said that for the whole day she hid from bullets in a refrigerator.

On September 11, the YouTube placed a video "True face of our army", where young men dressed in uniform of the Armed Forces of Armenia are beaten by a person stripped to the waist, supposedly, an officer. The video has stirred up the country's public, which now demands to investigate the circumstances of the incident. The Ministry of Defence (MoD) does not exclude that the video could be forged.
