In 2019, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) revealed that officials at various levels received 244 bribes, said Sergey Bachurin, the head of the Main Department of the Russian MIA for Northern Caucasus, on January 31. "In 2019, the average bribe amounted to 245,000 roubles," the "Interfax-South" quotes him as saying. In total, 101 persons were prosecuted for bribery.

His order to search for "gossipers" in the around-the-clock regime was issued after publications about the detention of 25 residents of Chechnya for a photo collage with the head of the republic.
