Social network users treat spread of foodstuffs among poor in Chechnya as a show off

The Akhmat Kadyrov Fund has held a large-scale charity action of spreading grocery sets to needy people in Chechnya. Instagram users have noted that needy families in different parts of the republic are deprived of even such help.

In cities and districts of Chechnya, the Fund distributed 10,000 food packages and 50,000 packets of corn sticks. Besides, the meat of 20 bullheads was spread among orphans and families in dire need. The action was held on January 25, an employee of the office of the head and government of Chechnya told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent on January 27.

On January 26, a report about the distribution of foodstuffs among poor families with expression of recipients' gratitude was posted on the Instagram "Grozny TV". Some commentators criticized the selective approach to rendering help to poor people.

"I have seven children, a disabled daughter; and I've never seen anything of this. Maybe, someone is lucky," the user with the nickname larisamukueva has written. "I also have two sick people at home, but we don't get this support; my mother-in-law is sick for the fifth year; and my husband is disabled after a mine explosion," the user blrjaht has notes.

"We've never received ... We are orphans ... the poor ... but I see such help only on the screen," the user otmmri has noted.
