Sukhumi, the capital of Abkhazia, formed two points for collection of assistance for residents of the Krasnodar Territory, affected by the flooding. Those points take the most necessary things, including insect killers against mosquitoes, respirators and gauze bandages, drinking water, rubber foot wear and gloves, and medicines.

Today, residents of the village of Dar-Gora and ecologists held a picket near the building of the Department of the "Rosprirodnadzor" (Russian Federal Agency for Supervising the Nature) in Volgograd. They are indignant about inaction of the supervisory authority for the protection of their rights to prosperous environment, which, according to them, are violated by the enterprise "Tekhoil". Officials from the "Rosprirodnadzor" argue that the protesters direct their claims to the wrong address.

18-year-old Lasha Narimanidze, who got poisoned by chlorine in the suburb of Tbilisi, died at the resuscitation ward of the hospital named after Ingorokva. This was reported by Gela Arabidze, physician of the hospital.

The hunger strike in the SIZO-1 (Pre-trial prison) of Makhachkala has been lasting for 6 day already. Relatives of the detainees claim that the administration of the SIZO ask the participants of the protest action to stop the hunger strike in return for promises to replace the bars on the windows and check the effect of jammers of mobile communication on health state of inmates. The SIZO denies the fact of the hunger strike.
