The Grozny Garrison Military Court has obliged the commander of the military unit to consider the report lodged by Zelimkhan Ayubov, on the payment of compensation for the wound he received in Ukraine, but the unit's commend has challenged the ruling. The Southern District Military Court has upheld the first-instance judgement.

Ramzan Kadyrov is now the Hero of Chechnya, Akhmed Dudaev, the head of the Chechen Ministry of Press, has announced. This title is awarded by the head of Chechnya, as follows from the decree signed by Kadyrov.

In Nazran, a prayer in memory of those who died during the years of the deportation ordered by Stalin was read out by the elders and the leader of the republic. Believers were reading prayers in the mosques of the republic to pay tribute to the memory of those who perished during the years of the deportation and dispensing sadaqa (charity) to the poor and large families.

Long and frequent court hearings affected the health state of arrested Zarema Musaeva, who is accused of assaulting a law enforcer. The arrested woman stated that her health deteriorated in a SIZO (pre-trial prison) in Chechnya and her eyesight began to fade.

The defence of Ibragim Khachukaev, a native of Chechnya, accused of justifying terrorism, has sought to mitigate the measure of his freedom restraint and challenged the judge, but the Supreme Court of Chechnya has upheld the decision to extend Khachukaev's arrest and found no grounds for challenging the judge.
