Andrei Rybasov, a former investigator of the Investigating Department for Kalmykia of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), has been sentenced in the Stavropol Territory to one year in a colony-settlement. He was found guilty of arbitrariness, the ICRF has reported today.

Today, a local resident Rustam Azhigov was shot dead by fire from a car in the village of Plievo, Nazran District of Ingushetia. The killers managed to escape.

The South-Ossetian businessman Batyr Pukhaev is on the tenth day of his hunger strike held at the temporary detention facility (known as IVS) of the city of Tskhinvali. He refused from hospitalization offered by medics, his advocate Marina Kochieva told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
