In the evening on December 7, in the Khasavyurt District, Marat Alinchiev, who had been on the federal wanted list, was shot dead, according to reports posted on the websites and Telegram channels that support law enforcers. The man, who was found by law enforcers, refused to surrender and was shot dead after he opened fire, the Russian National Antiterrorist Committee has stated.

The decision of the European Court of Human Rights fails to impose obligations on Azerbaijani authorities to release Seimur Khazi; it only provides for compensation in the amount of 14,500 euros, the journalist's advocate has stated. The ECtHR has passed its decision, when Khazi has less than 9 months till the end of his prison term, said his wife.
