In 2019, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) revealed that officials at various levels received 244 bribes, said Sergey Bachurin, the head of the Main Department of the Russian MIA for Northern Caucasus, on January 31. "In 2019, the average bribe amounted to 245,000 roubles," the "Interfax-South" quotes him as saying. In total, 101 persons were prosecuted for bribery.

The General's Prosecutor Office of Russia refused to bring to court a case against the Khachaturyan sisters accused of killing their father and obliged the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) to re-classify the charge as necessary defence, advocates report.
