The trial on the attack is underway for four years already. The trial is one of the largest in Russia by the number of defendants and the number of charge volumes. Today, the Armenian Court of Appeal continued consideration of the appeal against to the decision of the court that sentenced four young opposition activists to imprisonment for hooliganism. Prosecutor Akop Martirosyan delivered his speech. The Prosecutor offered to mitigate the sentence for one of the defendants David Kiramidjyan and to replace imprisonment by a conditional sentence.

On October 9, in Yerevan, the court has pronounced the decision on the case of beating of journalist Ruben Grdzelyan. The court found Albert Manrikyan, a son of Mesrop Manrikyan, Prosecutor of the Kotaik Region of Armenia, guilty of the incident and fined him 50,000 drams (120 US dollars). The court also decided not to prosecute the journalist because of the absence of elements of crime in his actions.
