Azerbaijan: two oppositionists arrested for 10 day, two more fined
In total, 32 participants of the Saturday's protest action in Baku, organized by the "Musavat" Party and the political block "Union for Democracy", were detained; the cases of six of them were sent to the court. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Arif Gadzhily, head of the central office of the "Musavat".

Relatives of resident of Dagestan accused of drug dealing in Azerbaijan complaint of inquiry protracting
At the court session on June 8 on the case about drug contraband and use by Usman Garisov, a resident of Dagestan, who is kept, since February 10, at the investigatory insulator in Azerbaijan, policemen gave contradictory evidences. Dagestan MPs are sceptical on making conscription commercial
Khizri Shikhsaidov, Deputy of the Russian State Duma from Dagestan, does not support the idea of the LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky who offered to release young men from military service for one million roubles. The Dagestan MP was supported by his colleagues who believe that commercialization of conscription will make bribes still higher.

Chechen women tell Spanish paper about "hunting" for women without headscarves
Lately, the capital of Chechnya saw almost two dozens attacks made from paintball rifles on girls without headscarves. One of the victims of these attacks lost her eye as a result of a paintball shot. According to human rights activists, local militiamen may be involved in the attacks.

The meeting of Trump, Aliyev and Pashinyan took place on August 8 in Washington. Following the meeting, Pashinyan and Aliyev also signed a joint declaration.
