Aslan Byutukaev, the commander of the battalion of suicide bombers "Riyad al-Salikhiyn" has sworn to the leader of the "Islamic State" (IS), which is recognized to be a terrorist organization, on behalf of all the Chechen militants. He stated this in his audio appeal posted on the YouTube.

Khamzat Chumakov, the Imam of the mosque of Nasyr-Kort, and his supporters have claimed that they speak only for peaceful means of the resolution of the conflict, which has resulted in a shooting incident at the mosque.
