Residents of Talysh are provided with housing in Stepanakert

Police detain Kenkhi villager after visit of "Dozhd" journalist
The detention of Magomed Akhmedov was reported today by the "Chernovik" (Draft) weekly. According to the paper, the reason was that he had driven Vasily Polonsky, a journalist of the "Dozhd" (Rain) TV Company, to the village of Kenkhi for making a report about Ramazan Djalaldinov's appeal to Vladimir Putin.

Child killed by shell explosion in Dagestani village
An explosion of an artillery shell occurred within a private household in the village of Djepel, Magaramkent District of Dagestan. Four people were injured, one – a five-year-old child – died.

Residents of Nogai District rally to mark return day of Karachay people
A rally to mark the 59th anniversary of the return of the Karachay nationals to their historic homeland was held today at the railway station of the dwelling settlement of Erken-Shakhar of the Nogai District of the Karachay-Cherkessian Republic (KChR). The first train with returnees from deportation arrived at this station 59 years ago.

Serviceman from Chechnya goes missing in Adygea
Relatives of Ariskhan Movsarov, a conscript from Chechnya, who took his military service in the brigade deployed in Maikop, the capital of Adygea, cannot establish his whereabouts for more than two weeks. Movsarov had no conflicts with his fellow-servicemen; and the command of the unit would not report why he is absent at his place of service, relatives assert.

Sochi residents reveal reasons of conflict around pedestrian crossing (+video)
The reason for a picket in the Lazarevskoe District of Sochi, which was dispersed by the police, was a long neglect by the authorities of the demand to return the pedestrian crossing, which allowed seniors and people with disabilities to easily access the socially relevant objects, said the eyewitnesses to the conflict.

Permyakov confesses of massacring Avetisyan family members

The “Caucasian Knot" publishes the agreement on the establishment of peace and interstate relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, which was initialed by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on August 8, 2025, through the mediation of US President Donald Trump. The meeting of Trump, Aliyev and Pashinyan took place on August 8 in Washington. Following the meeting, Pashinyan and Aliyev also signed a joint declaration.
